Emma and Liam captured the top spots for babies born in Johnston County during 2019, according to Craig Olive, Johnston County Register of Deeds. Olive announced the 10 most popular baby names in 2019 for Johnston County births.

The Top Male Names:
1 – Liam
2 – Mason
3 – Isaac

6 – Daniel
7 – Jayden
8 – Joseph
9 – Luke
10- Christopher
In 2018, the top names were Olivia and Elijah. In 2017, the top names were Ava and Liam.
In addition, Mr. Olive provided other Johnston County Vital Records statistics for 2019. 1768 babies were born, 1361 deaths occurred and 1182 marriage licenses were obtained in Johnston County. Of the births, 926 were boys and 842 were girls.
