Top 2023 Baby Names In Johnston County

SMITHFIELD – Johnston County Register of Deeds Craig Olive has released his annual report on the most popular baby names in the county. For 2023 births, and for the second consecutive year, Charlotte was the most popular name for female babies born in our county. Liam captured the top spot for male babies. Interestingly, Liam was the second most popular male name in 2022.

“I always enjoy looking back at the previous year to see the names of babies born in our county and see how some names stay on the list year after year while others just make a one-time appearance. My office utilizes the most up-to-date technology which enables us to provide this data quickly and effectively,” said Mr. Olive.
