DUNN – Traffic was backed up for several miles Wednesday evening after a Porsche SUV towing an Airstream trailer collided with a tractor trailer. The collision happened shortly before 6:30pm in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95, between the 73 and 74 mile markers.
Authorities said the Porshce was traveling in the left lane and the semi in the right lane when the vehicles collided.
No injuries were reported.
The State Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
Traffic backed up to the 67 mile marker before the northbound lanes could be reopened.
Looks like the RV was trying to make a U-turn. I think he wanted to go south! Glad no one was injured.
This is why having sway control and trailer brakes are important
As an RV owner, I agree 100%
Another wreck in the never ending construction zone. Whoever is in charge of that should be sued. It is the most dangerous area on the interstate with it’s never ending NEVER WORKED ON work zone
People that drive the speed limit (60mph) don’t have problems other than the other distracted and speeding drivers. I drive that area 5 days a week. Knock on wood, no issues other than others not paying attention.
I also agree with you. All of you make real good points.
I have to agree with you also.
