Tractor Trailer Overturns On I-95 Exit Ramp

SMITHFIELD – A tractor trailer overturned Tuesday morning on the I-95 northbound exit ramp at Brogden Road, temporarily blocking the ramp and drawing emergency response to the scene.

The truck landed on its side, obstructing the entire off-ramp and causing traffic delays in the area. Smithfield Police responded and are investigating the cause of the crash.

The driver sustained a laceration to his arm and was treated on-site by Johnston County EMS. No other injuries were reported.

Crews worked for about three hours to clear the scene.
