A tractor trailer loaded with pallets of crushed aluminum cans overturned while making the transition from US 70 West onto I-40 East in Garner on Wednesday morning.
The truck driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Wake County EMS and the Garner Fire Department responded to the scene.
Troopers said the unsecured load shifted in the curve, throwing the trailer on its side and dragging the tractor with it. Speed may have been a contributing factor.
