One person was injured Tuesday when a tractor trailer and pickup truck collided. The accident was reported at 5:35pm on US 701 South of Four Oaks near Stewart Road.
Trooper C.O. Best said the semi was headed southbound on US 701 when it crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound Chevrolet pickup. The impact forced the pickup off the roadway and into a ditch in front of Barefoot’s Country Store.
The driver of the pickup was transported by Four Oaks EMS to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.
Charges against the semi driver are pending.
