A large quantity of narcotics were seized during a traffic stop on Highway 70.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team and Drug Squad were working a joint drug investigation on September 5th that led to a traffic stop on US 70 West.
During a search of the vehicle, just over 2 pounds of marijuana and 2 ounces of cocaine were seized.
The suspect, Michael Jashon Collie, 33, of LaGrange was also reportedly found with a stolen firearm in his possession.
Collie facing several charges including drug trafficking and possession of a stolen firearm. He was confined in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $200,000 bond.
