On Sunday, November 24th, an Eagle Scout Ceremony was held for Eagle Scout Christopher Jordan Hales from Boy Scout Troop 63 of Pine Level. The Ceremony took place at Parrish Memorial Baptist Church near Selma.
Jordan is a Senior Patrol Leader for Boy Scout Troop 63. He has earned 56 Merit Badges, well above the required 21 Merit Badges for Eagle Scout, therefore Jordan was also awarded one bronze Eagle Palm and two Silver Eagle Palms. For his Eagle Scout project, Jordan added additional recreational accessories at Parrish Memorial Baptist Church including an in-ground basketball goal, tic-tac-toe boards, a bean bag toss board, and a set of corn hole boards.
During his Eagle Scout Court of Honor, Jordan was presented with an Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Award from Eagle Scout Coordinator Lewis W. Rice III on behalf of the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment 1236.
Jordan is a junior at North Johnston High School where he is a member of the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization. He is also a Junior Fireman with the Pine Level Fire Department. He plans to attend Johnston Community College and further his studies in Fire & Rescue and welding as an Auto Body Technician.
Jordan is the son to Eddie and Angie Hales of Pine Level.
