Troop 95 Eagle Scout Recognized

Last Saturday, an Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held for Eagle Scout Kobie David Langston at the First Presbyterian Church of Smithfield.

Kobie is a senior at South Johnston High School where he is a Scholar-Athlete on both the Varsity Soccer and Tennis teams, a member of the National Honor Society, and he serves as a Trojans Ambassador.

After graduating in 2018 Kobie plans to attend Campbell University to pursue a Pharmacy Degree.

Kobie is the current Senior Patrol Leader of Boy Scout Troop 95 of Smithfield and a member of the Order of the Arrow, the Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America, and has recently attended National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) for the Boy Scouts of America.

For his Eagle Scout project, Kobie led his Troop in putting vinyl siding on a 1,200 square foot building at the Smithfield Rescue Mission.

During the Ceremony, Kobie was also presented the Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Award from Devell “Bull” Durham Jr. (right), the Assistant Eagle Scout Coordinator for the Marine Corps League Department of North Carolina.

Kobie is the son of David and Crystal Langston.
