Trooper, Second Driver Injured In Traffic Accident

FOUR OAKS – A North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper was involved in a motor vehicle accident on his way to a minor school bus accident in front of South Johnston High School, Tuesday morning.
A driver reportedly pulled his white passenger car onto Reedy Creek Road, into the path of the responding trooper, heavily damaging both vehicles and sending the patrol car into a nearby field.

Both drivers were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the 7:50am accident.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office provided traffic control at the scene.
