Two 15 year-old juveniles are facing charges after they allegedly broke into the crawlspace of a Smithfield home.
Around 7:00am Tuesday, Smithfield Police responded to a report of a break-in at a home on North Street. Officers discovered the juveniles had made entry into the crawlspace and were still underneath the home when police arrived.
Both 15 year-olds were charged with breaking and entering. Captain J. Grady said there was no evidence the juveniles tried to break into the occupied residence, just the crawlspace.
The homeowner was not injured during the incident.
