BENSON – Two Benson residents were arrested March 27 during a drug bust by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division.
The sheriff’s office tactical team executed the warrant in the 400 block of W. Parrish Drive. Narcotic agents reportedly seized methamphetamine and fentanyl at the address.
The suspects, Derek James Elliott, age 30, and Caitlin Francis Kahlor-Harmer, age 37, of the same address, were charged with three counts of trafficking in opium or heroin, conspiracy to trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Elliott was also charged with the sale of methamphetamines.
Authorities allege meth and fentanyl was being sold at the address.
Elliott and Kahlor-Harmer were both held under $325,000 secured bonds.
