Two Charged After Deputies Respond To Drug Overdose

Locklear-Bowling-Mugshots-FITwo people were arrested Friday morning after deputies were called to an overdose in the parking lot of a business on Highway 42 at Interstate 40.  Around 1:15 AM, first responders located a woman lying on the pavement next to her vehicle. She reportedly told emergency workers she had possibly overdosed on heroin.  A man who was accompanying the woman was reportedly caught placing contraband in a trash can. 

After undergoing medical treatment, 27 year-old Mindy M. Locklear of Kent Court, Garner was arrested. Dustin M. Bowling, 27, of Foxwood Drive, Garner was also charged. Both are facing a single felony count of possess-distribute methamphetamine precursor items.  They were booked into the Johnston County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
