Two Charged After Late-Night Break-In At Home Under Construction

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A suspicious vehicle parked outside a new home under construction led Johnston County deputies to two men who had allegedly entered the vacant residence early Saturday morning.
Deputies were dispatched around 12:03 a.m. July 11 to Stradshire Court, Zebulon, off Earpsboro Road near the Wake County line, after receiving a report of suspicious activity.
When deputies searched the home, they reportedly found Nelson Alvarado-Martinez, 28, of Durham, upstairs. A second suspect, Hector Ucapo, 32, of Durham, was allegedly discovered hiding inside a closet, according to authorities.
Both men were arrested and charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering.
Investigators said nothing appeared to have been taken from the home, which was still under construction.
Alvarado-Martinez and Ucapo were each given a $1,000 secured bond before being booked into the Johnston County Detention Center.
