Two Charged With Drug Possession Following Traffic Stop

KENLY – A routine traffic stop turned into felony drug arrests for two Selma residents.
Around 12:47 a.m. Jan. 17, a Johnston County deputy pulled over a vehicle on Truck Stop Road near Kenly. During a search, authorities reportedly discovered a small amount of suspected methamphetamine inside the car.
Justin Wayne Puryear, 38, and Theresa Elizabeth Sanderson, 54, both of Old Batten Road, Selma, were taken into custody and charged with a felony count of possession of methamphetamine.
Puryear was held under a $5,000 secured bond, while Sanderson’s bond was set at $500.
