The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting this morning. A 911 call was received at 4:25am today (Monday) reporting an assault at 312 Raynor McLamb Road.
Harnett County deputies arrived on the scene and locate two victims with gunshot wounds. The first victim, Kim McLean, 53, had a gunshot wound to the right arm. The second victim, Archie McLean, 75, had a gunshot wound to the head. The victims are related to one another and live at the address, authorities said in a news release.
Kim McLean was treated and released at a nearby hospital. Archie McLean was transported to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill were he remains. His condition has not been released.
According to Sheriff Wayne Coats, the two individuals were involved in an argument at the residence and shot each other. Authorities said the investigation was still ongoing and more information would be released when possible.
