Two Vehicle Accident Causes Traffic Delays

Three people were injured when a car and SUV collided Friday afternoon in the Town of Archer Lodge.  The wreck was reported on Covered Bridge Road at Castleberry Road near the Archer Lodge Fire Department.

One victim was transported to Wake Medical Center while two others were taken to Johnston Medical Center in Clayton.

The wreck created a lengthy traffic jam for commuters on Covered Bridge Road and Castleberry Road.

The NC Highway Patrol is investigating.
