Late-today (Thursday), the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and Garner Police announced they believe three armed robberies reported since Tuesday night are likely related.
They also released surveillance images of the two suspects and a car they were driving during the holdups.
At 7:24pm Tuesday, Reedy Creek Gas & Grocery at 9891 Highway 210, Four Oaks was robbed at gunpoint. At 12:54am Thursday the Han-Dee Hugo at 401 Benson Road in Garner was robbed. And at 1:23am Thursday the Scotchman convenience store at 12320 Highway 210, Benson was robbed. During the Scotchman holdup, a man inside the store was shot and killed. His name has not been released.
In a press release, authorities said they believe all three robberies are related. The suspects are described as two black males operated a four door black sedan.
