US 70 Accident Injures 3

SELMA – Three people sustained injuries in a two vehicle accident shortly after 10:00am Tuesday. The accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of US 70 between Oak Street and Buffalo Road. All three injuries appeared to be minor.

One eastbound lane was closed until the scene could be cleared.

The Selma Fire Department assisted with traffic control. Johnston County EMS responded to treat the injured.

The State Highway Patrol investigated the collision.

        • Sure, if all you want is a band-aid. Let’s take I-95 for instance. A majority of that interstate in NC was built in the early 1960’s. I think major bridge, overpass, and exits are out of date and in need of replacement not repair. There are a lot more vehicles on the road than the 1960’s and the vehicles are bigger and travel faster. But nah, lets just throw some new asphalt on. That’ll do the trick. Kick the can to the next generation because what will it matter to you?

          • The next “generation” will never see the “improvements” the construction will still be going on for decades.

    • And not drive a vehicle knowing that they have bad brakes that aren’t properly working.. very irresponsible I say
