PRINCETON – A suspected drunk driver is facing charges after reportedly causing a crash early Sunday morning that seriously injured six people. The collision was reported on US 70 at Pine Street in Princeton.
A pickup truck reportedly failed to stop for a red light on Pine Street and was struck by a passenger car traveling eastbound on US 70. First responders found the injured victims trapped inside the vehicles.
The driver of the pickup was arrested and charged with driving while impaired. Additional charges are possible.
Numerous agencies responded to the collision including Johnston County EMS, Princeton Fire Department, Princeton Police Department, State Highway Patrol and Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
