WENDELL – Authorities have identified a juvenile who reportedly caused damage to the Archer Lodge Middle School campus.
The incident happened July 26 around 1:00pm at the middle school, located at 762 Wendell Road, Wendell in northern Johnston County.
Security cameras reportedly captured the juvenile drive a pickup truck onto the athletic field causing deep ruts. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
The juvenile suspect was later identified. Authorities have not said if the juvenile will face any charges.
Well be definitely should face charges. Why was he driving anyways. He also should be made to fix the mess he made. Give him a rake and let him.have as much fun fixing it as he did destroying it.
Juveniles include 16 and 17 year olds thanks to “Raise the Age” legislation.
Make his parents pay for the damage.
This is the answer. Until parents are held responsible for their juvenile children, there’s no incentive for them to become better parents.
I with Jenna, don’t let his parents pay his way out of trouble, no lesson learned, some manual labor would not hurt him. Maybe teach him a lesson about consequences.
The damage wasn’t even that bad it’s over exaggerated, nothing a few pile of sod can’t fix.
Please contact the school so you can give them your address as to where they can send the bill for the sod and the labor to lay it. Thanks for volunteering, you’re a pillar of your community.
the system is not only messed up but also pushes our people to accuse minors of petty crimes the damages weren’t over 1,000 dollars that’s just propaganda if you go to the middle school you will see that it’s just some tire marks. while we are focused on a teenager from north carolina doing something every teenager has done from north carolina there is several people who died from impaired drivers this week, we shouldn’t focus on “crimes” that have little to no proof of you think the juvenile should be charged go down to archers lodge middle and see for yourself.
If you’re too juvenile to intentionally cause damage , you’re probably too drive a car. Revoke license.
