Vandals caused damage to four buildings earlier this week, according to the Greater Cleveland Athletic Association (GCAA). According to GCAA representatives, someone sprayed paint graffiti on several buildings, including the concession stand located at the ball fields at 8994 Cleveland Road, Clayton.
The suspect or suspects also spray painted obscene pictures on concession stand and kicked in the door to another building. Four sports trophies inside one building was spray painted, an infield scraper was damaged, and a window was broken. Officials said obscenities were located on three of the buildings.
The damage occurred sometime between 7:00pm Sunday and 12:00 Noon Monday. Cleanup and repairs are expected to cost around $2,000.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
