BENSON – The State Highway Patrol has released information about a vehicle wanted in connection with a deadly hit and run accident on Interstate 40 in Johnston County.
Around 7:10am Friday, November 29, a body was discovered in the median of Interstate 40, between the Rest Area and NC 242 Exit (325 mile marker).
Evidence indicates a pedestrian, 38 year-old Ryan Shyllon Opher, was struck and killed by a motor vehicle.
The vehicle that fatally struck Opher is believed to be a metallic gray 2008-2013 Nissan Rogue with significant damage to the left front bumper and headlight area.
