Veterans Parkway Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charge
JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A late-night traffic stop on Veterans Parkway led to the arrest of a Johnston County driver after deputies allegedly discovered nearly 10 ounces of marijuana inside his vehicle.
The stop occurred around 9:53 p.m. Friday near Glen Road in the Garner area of Johnston County.

According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle driven by Aaron Dante Phillips, 26, of Lainey Street, Garner.
During the investigation, deputies reportedly located approximately 10 ounces of suspected marijuana, a digital scale, and other drug paraphernalia.
Investigators charged Phillips with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and driving while license revoked.
Following his arrest, Phillips was booked into the Johnston County Detention Center, where his bond was set at $10,000 secured.
