Victim Locates Stolen Boat On CraigsList

After a boat was stolen from a Johnston County resident in late-March they began searching for the stolen item on internet websites.  Two days later they spotted their stolen boat for sale on CraigsList.

Pretending to be a prospective buyer, the victim arranged to meet the accused thief in Garner to see the boat and make the purchase.  Working with Garner Police, the victim arranged a meeting and the stolen boat valued at $1,100 was recovered.

David Earl Holderfield, 37, of the 16000 block of Highway 210, Angier was arrested April 10th and charged with felony larceny.
