Wake County Man Collects $476,189 Cash 5 Jackpot 

RALEIGH – Manuel Espinosa Cicero of Raleigh took a chance on a $1 Cash 5 ticket on Wednesday and won a $476,189 jackpot.

Espinosa Cicero bought his lucky ticket from Spring Mart on Spring Forest Road in Raleigh. The odds of matching all five balls are 1 in 962,598.

He claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, Espinosa Cicero took home $314,332.

Cash 5 is one of six lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying tickets at a retail location or with Online Play through the lottery’s website or the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.

Education programs in Wake County received $64.3 million in support from lottery funds last year.
