Johnston County Public Schools has named Donna Watson as the Johnston Association of Educational Office Professionals (JCAEOP) Educational Office Professional of the Year for her many years of hard work and dedication to the school system.
Watson, Administrative Assistant for Student Services, was recognized for her leadership and ambition to go above and beyond the call of duty for more than 16 years for Johnston County Public Schools.
According to Watson’s colleagues, she is an advocate for the youth and an integral part of her community. She is described as an outstanding leader and role model to the youth in the school system, community, and her church.
Watson is also this year’s winner of the JCAEOP member scholarship, the $250 James F. Causby Scholarship.
Currently, she is enrolled at Strayer University of Raleigh and is pursuing a Master of Education, majoring in Administration/Teacher Leadership. It is one of Watson’s personal and professional goals to continue furthering her education.
