GOLDSBORO – A bridge on Bartlett Road northeast of Goldsboro is scheduled to close today (Jan. 6) for replacement.
A state highway contractor will replace the bridge spanning The Slough. Built in 1971, the bridge is nearing the end of its useful life.
The contractor plans to construct the new bridge and reopen the road by June 2025.
The detour will consist of Bartlett Road, Wayne Memorial Drive and Antioch Road. Drivers should be mindful of a longer commute using the detour and be alert near the work zone.
