Wilson’s Mills High Evacuated Following Gas Leak
WILSON’S MILLS, N.C. – Students and staff were evacuated from Wilson’s Mills High School on Talton Farm Road after a natural gas leak was reported Wednesday.
The incident was reported around 11:36 a.m. Aug. 26.
As a precaution, students and staff were moved out of the school building while emergency crews responded.
No injuries were reported. The leak was quickly contained, and students were allowed back inside the school about an hour later.
Fire and EMS personnel responded to the high school along with representatives from Piedmont Natural Gas.
