ARCHER LODGE – One person was injured in a single vehicle accident on South Murphrey Road in Archer Lodge. The accident occurred around 3:45pm Monday.
A driver headed north of South Murphrey Road ran off the roadway, overcorrected, and ended up in a ditch. The vehicle was heavily damaged.
The driver was transported to Wake Med for treatment.
North Side Fire and Johnston County EMS responded. Firefighters provided traffic control until the scene could be cleared.
The State Highway Patrol investigated.
