Thieves made away with a large amount of property during two break-ins reported last week in Johnston County.
Last Thursday, someone broke into a home on Double B Trail off Harper House Road. While the occupants were away at work, someone forced their way inside the home and stolen jewelry and cash. The items were valued at $16,590. The break-in occurred between 7:20am and 4:00PM that day.
Also last Thursday, someone broke into a barn on Rhodes Road off Princeton-Kenly Road near Kenly. The suspect stole a John Deere Gator ATV, power tools and farm sprayer valued at $10,810.
Detectives with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office have been assigned to investigate both break-ins.
