An accident on Monday sent five people to area hospitals. The crash was reported at 6:57pm near the intersection of Highway 39 and Earpsboro Road in northern Johnston County.
According to the NC Highway Patrol, a 2008 Toyota driven by Crystal Anne Urick, 23, of Zebulon was traveling northbound on Highway 39 and attempted to turn left into the parking lot of a business. Urick turned into the path of a 2006 Chevy traveling southbound on Highway 39 and operated by Sonya Latischa Robeson-Montague, 38, of Zebulon.
Both drivers along with 3 children in the Chevy, ages 5 months, 2, and 13, were transported to hospitals in Johnston and Wake counties. None of the injuries were life threatening.
