Smithfield Police are treating a fire that damaged four vehicles as arson. The cars were parked at behind a warehouse on E. Edgerton Street around 4:30pm Wednesday when an unknown person set fire to the vehicles.
A Suzuki Forenza, Dodge Intrepid, Saturn, and Infiniti G20 were burned. All the vehicles had their batteries removed. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $1,000.
Anyone who has any information about the fires is asked to contact the Smithfield Police Department at 919-934-2121. The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting police with the investigation.
