The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating another home invasion. The latest incident occurred Friday night in the Bell Hope Mobile Home Park on Swift Creek Road near Smithfield.
Three men were inside a mobile home when four black male suspects, at least two of them armed with handguns, forced their way into the home and stole money and a cell phone.
Authorities said all the suspects were wearing dark clothing with shirts pulled over their faces. The robbers fled in a vehicle on Swift Creek Road. No injuries were reported.
Previous home invasions were reported to deputies in September on Covered Bridge Road in Archer Lodge, Barnes Lake Road off NC39 North, US70 East of Smithfield, and on Raleigh Road near Benson. One arrest was made following the Barnes Lake Road incident.
Smithfield Police are looking for two suspects in connection with a Sept. 12th armed home invasion on Towbridge Street.
