School Bus Involved In Minor Collision

The Highway Patrol has filed charges against the driver of a car involved in a collision with a Wake County school bus. The accident happened around 10:00am on US64 Business in Wendell.

Troopers said the bus was being driven to a local garage for maintenance and did not have any students on board.  The driver of a 2005 Toyota Corolla, 22 year-old Kathleen Garner of Raleigh, traveled across the centerline and sideswiped the bus.  Garner was taken to Wake Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  The bus driver, Sharlena Height, 42, of Raleigh was not injured.

Garner was cited for traveling left of center.
