American Legion Hut Repairs

SMITHFIELD – The Town of Smithfield will spend $56,929 to make repairs to the American Legion Hut.

At the request of the Parks and Recreation Department, the town council awarded a low bid of $20,500 to Wayne Roof and Sheet Metal Company to repair the American Legion Hut roof. Bids ranged from $20,500 to $47,856.

A separate bid was awarded to make structural repairs to the rear porch. Blueprint Construction was awarded the bid of $36,429. The only other bid for the project received was slightly higher at $38,577.
