“No Kings Day” Anti-Trump Protest Planned Saturday In Johnston County

CLAYTON – Johnston County will be the location of one of 27 protests in North Carolina against President Donald Trump this weekend.

A group called Indivisible of Johnston County is organizing “No Kings Day” on Saturday, June 14 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Clayton Town Square on W. Main Street in Downtown Clayton.

According to a press release, No Kings Day will be a public demonstration and protest. “We are taking action on June 14 to remind Trump and his enablers that America has no kings. While Trump wastes millions on a military parade in DC, we are joining tens of thousands of people in big cities and small towns across the country to show that organized people power is stronger than his authoritarian ambitions.”

Over 1,700 “No Kings Day” protests are scheduled across the United States on June 14.

    • It’s a protest against our felon in chief because he does not believe in the Constitution.

      • Only thing is he has followed the constitution to the tee but keep listening to CNN you brainwashed moron.

        • Obviously you have not read the many comments here. Trump does not even think about the constitution. It means nothing to him. He does what he wants…often times in contradiction to the constitution.

          • … UPDATE: … maybe 75 people turned out. Many were supporting President Trump and waving The American Flag.

There was a higher chance of creating an accident due the protesters standing at the roads edge engaging with passers by.

No clear messaging though, but the Trump support was obvious.

Pretty much A Nothing Burger (King)

            Pun intended!

        • Avguy, you don’t know much about the Constitution. Just yesterday Justice Bryer found that Trump violated the 10th Amendment to the Constitution.

          • A Democrat judge from San Fransisco? I bet he doesn’t even know how to define what a woman is….

Judges can be just as corrupt as you think Trump is.

        • the fifth and fourth amendments guarantee due process for all people on US soil, regardless of immigration status, so no not really

        • Apparently you don’t read either and is ok with what the Orange orangutan is doing he can barely speak a proper sentence MUCH less to lead anything he’s a BULLY AND WILL ALWAYS BE STUPID IF THAT’S WHO YOU WANT TO RUN THIS COUNTRY WE ARE TRULLY IN TROUBLE ALL HE’S DOING IS SETTING UP HIS WEALTH FOR WHEN HE LEAVES OFFICE while wasting the tax payers money he supposed to be a president for the country all he’s doing is dividing us instead of helping his country I don’t wish bad on anyone but you cannot be truly happy and satisfied with how things are turning out. But good luck Apparently people like yourself is okay with seeing people suffer as long as the POWER is on your side. PRAYERS FOR EVERYONE BECAUSE WE WILL NEED IT.

        • You obviously “know” NOTHING about Trump! I grew up in Brooklyn NY ! He was bullied as a child (in school), I was also, but i chose a different path… He chose a different path and he never got over his hate and anger, never grew up and “chose” revenge… This is his “payback” time… Ya’ll open your “blind eyes” seek and learn the TRUTH… He wants power, he wants to (be a) dictator! Why do you think he went to “visit “ the dictators? TO LEARN HOW TO DICTATE! “KNOW Trump?” “NO Trump!!!”

  1. Just tell them to keep it in rhe city limits. It amazes me that Jocoreport.com is promoting something like this. Very anti American.

      • It’s unAmerican because we have an election process that the sitting President endorses being untainted and legitimate unlike the Anti-America crowd that opposed him.

          • Look it up, Beasley. You got some bad learning somewhere. America is not a theocracy. Do you know what that word means? It’s you who’s not educated.

    • Is the Constitution unAmerican because protests are protected under the 1st Amendment the Constitution.

  2. Holy…. Way to advertise . You are responsible for any damages jocoreport. Where is this group located? Who is their leader? Who is funding them?

    • omg y’all are so dramatic. there’s a protest every saturday in raleigh and it is 100% peaceful.

      • Raleigh was not peaceful last week, there was looting and businesses destroyed how is that helping anything

        • That’s just not true. WRAL and News & Observer report sizable, peaceful demonstrations in Raleigh’s Moore Square and downtown, opposing Trump’s immigration enforcement and NC’s SB 153 bill—no mention of violence or property damage.

    • Funding can be traced to PSL (Party for Socialism and Liberation) and Neville Singham.

      This isn’t organic, it’s staged.

      • That’s not an argument. Every major movement—left, right, or center—has organizers, donors, and infrastructure behind it. That doesn’t make it “staged.” It makes it organized, which is exactly how change happens in a democracy.

    • It’s me! I’m their leader, their funder and their home base. It’s in my backyard treehouse and there’s a secret handshake. I can show it to you if you come to the protest. I will be the one holding the sign that says, “I’m the boss of you.” I will be wearing an ill-fitting navy blue suit, a red tie that I’m gonna have to loop around my ankle so I don’t trip over it, and black shoes with lifts in them. You won’t find me if it rains though. I melt in the rain and don’t like how it makes my hair look. See you there!

      • it’s very obvious you’re leaving multiple comments under different names lol. awful bait

  3. Keep it peaceful and all will be well. If the instigators and insurrectionists show up I hope JCSO and CPD are prepared to shut it down immediately so it doesn’t become LA, Chicago, NYC, Seattle, etc.

        • 140 police officers injured on January 6th and y’all yawn but let a waymo catch on fire in LA and we suddenly need the national guard and marines. ok

    • None of you use your real names because then your neighbors and community would see what imbeciles you really are. Don’t be chicken. Own your crap!

      • You are the type who would sit down with someone who broke into your house and try to reason with them. I use my name because I REALLY don’t care what other’s think of me. Things are black and white, no grey. They broke the law-go to jail. Let them all come stay with you and you feed, clothe and provide medical care for those who have have 5 children and drive a new Expedition.

        • You say things are “black and white,” but real life—and especially law and justice—is full of nuance. If someone breaks into my home, no, I wouldn’t invite them in for coffee. But immigration isn’t burglary. Seeking asylum is legal under U.S. and international law. People fleeing violence or economic collapse aren’t criminals—they’re human beings trying to survive. That’s not “sitting down with a criminal.” That’s recognizing the difference between desperation and malice.

As for using your name, that doesn’t make you bold—it just means you’re comfortable being loud without being thoughtful. Courage isn’t saying inflammatory things and not caring what people think. Courage is standing up for others, especially when it’s unpopular.

You mock the idea of compassion by saying “let them come stay with you.” But what you’re really doing is admitting you have no policy argument—just resentment. Why does someone else’s big car bother you more than their kids being hungry or homeless? Are you angry about fraud? Great. So am I. But don’t confuse that with justifying cruelty toward all immigrants, as if every struggling family is some kind of scam.

Laws matter—but so do values. Justice without compassion is just vengeance dressed up in rules. The real test of a society isn’t how it treats the wealthy and “deserving,” but how it treats the vulnerable and voiceless.

You want a system that works? So do I. But that requires more than slogans and outrage. It requires policies that are humane, fair, and grounded in reality—not knee-jerk reactions built on fear and assumptions.

          • Chris, you haven’t done one good thing for Johnston County. Pack your junk and move to CA.

          • Casey, you don’t know me and I don’t know you. I’m not an elected official…yet.

          • Finally back to your long winded expressions.
            It’s too breezy in here.
            Gotta shut the front door.

      • Or maybe people don’t use their real names because they don’t want their lives disrupted for expressing their opinions.

        • That’s actually the irony—many of the loudest “proud MAGA” voices online won’t post under their real names. For a movement that claims to be about strength, patriotism, and “telling it like it is,” a surprising number of its supporters hide behind fake names when they post publicly. If you truly believe in your message, why not stand by it? If you think Trump is right and the country is being saved, then own it with your real identity.

The truth is, a lot of these anonymous posters aren’t worried about being “canceled”—they’re worried about being held accountable. They want to say inflammatory things, spread conspiracy theories, or attack others without consequences. That’s not free speech. That’s hiding while throwing punches.

So let’s not pretend it’s about safety or fairness. It’s about wanting the freedom to offend without the responsibility of being known. If you’re proud of your movement, say it with your name—or admit that maybe deep down, you know your message won’t stand up to real scrutiny.

          • Fake names, its social media. Real names of conservatives get DOXED relentlessly by the NO KINGS anarchists. Assaination attempts come from the NO KINGS morons. The like endorse them.

  4. “We are taking action on June 14 to remind Trump and his enablers that America has no kings. While Trump wastes millions on a military parade in DC”

    Huh? What kook

    • Travis Gardner we as Democrats have made the decision many year’s ago to take the masks off and be proud of our agenda! I know there are a few left in the community that feel they can’t let the true vision of our party be known in fear of losing friends and family, but make no mistake we are fighting for the freedom to have our six year olds as a drag queen and to again normalize relationships between so-called children and adults as many societies accept. To protect the rights of our human sacrifices in the abortion clinic. as a choice, We will never go backwards to only having two genders and we are making sure that this country will never be looked at as a Christian Nation again! Travis remember in the COVID shutdown the power we had when our Democrat Governor shut down the churches, that’s showed us we have almost reached this one party government rule and the first amendment and second amendment can be apart of history. Travis Gardner don’t feel you have to be ashamed of our progressive liberal agenda again, brother I will be there with pride in our so-called Kings Day March!!!! GET RID OF ICE AND PROTECT OUR IMMIGRANTS!!!

    • There is a new DHS hotline 866 DHS 2 ice. To turn in people. We stand with Trump

      • You began by quoting Jesus:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart… and love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” — Mark 12:30–31

But the moment we use God’s name to justify fear, cruelty, or exclusion, we step outside of that love.

Yes, God gave Israel land—but He also gave clear instructions about how to treat others, especially those from outside:

“You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born. I am the Lord your God.” — Leviticus 24:22

“Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.” — Exodus 23:9

“The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.” — Leviticus 19:34

These are not suggestions. These are commandments from the same God you claim to follow.

The passage you cited—Deuteronomy 28:43-45—is not about modern immigration. It’s part of a warning to Israel about what happens when a nation abandons justice, mercy, and obedience to God. Twisting it to justify resentment toward immigrants isn’t biblical—it’s opportunistic.

Jesus never built walls. He broke barriers. He ate with sinners. He welcomed strangers. And He reserved His strongest warnings for those who weaponized religion to justify hypocrisy and hardness of heart.

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40

If we’re truly going to “love our neighbors,” that includes immigrants, refugees, and children fleeing violence—not just those who look like us, talk like us, or vote like us.

You say you “hate evil and love righteousness.” That’s good. But also remember:

“Mercy triumphs over judgment.” — James 2:13

“Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone.” — John 8:7

And let’s not forget what Jesus said about those who wear religion on their sleeves while lacking compassion in their hearts:

“When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” — Matthew 6:5

Faith isn’t proven by loud declarations or judgmental slogans—it’s proven by humility, mercy, and love.
If your faith doesn’t look like Jesus, then it’s time to stop calling it Christianity.

  5. No kings day? What the heck is THAT?? ANOTHER protest? As if we don’t have enough protesting already… Maybe we should form a protest group that is fed up with protests every time you turn around. Don’t these people have jobs???? Yes, we have the right to peaceful protests, but the way it’s going, no one will be at work because they’re too busy protesting.

Most people here have no clue how it is to live under an actual monarchy.. So, the comparison makes no sense .. go away..

Like the protestors in support of hamas… You really think hamas cares if you support them or not?? They’d kill you as soon as look at you. People are out there dressing the part too and a good part of them don’t have a clue what they are protesting either. They just want to be on TV and have that little piece of fame…. YOU LIVE HERE… YOU ARE CONSIDERED AN INFIDEL. I’m all for humanitarian aid and saving lives but support on hamas?? Go away.

I’m all for people wanting a better life here, but you need to do it correctly. If all the people in the early 1900’s did it (look up Ellis Island), so can everyone else that wants to come here. I’ve heard that they don’t want to wait, that it takes too long. Nothing good comes easy so If it’s worth it to you, you will do it. If the immigrants years ago did it, SO CAN YOU. What makes anyone think they are so special that they feel they don’t shouldn’t have to is beyond me.

    • This post is a perfect example of what happens when people confuse inconvenience with oppression and patriotism with ignorance. Let’s be clear: protesting is not a nuisance—it’s a constitutional right. The idea behind “No Kings Day” isn’t about some foreign monarchy; it’s about resisting authoritarianism here in the United States. It’s about pushing back against the growing cult of personality around political figures who believe they’re above the law. That kind of protest isn’t just valid—it’s essential to any functioning democracy.

As for the tired question, “Don’t these people have jobs?”—yes, many of them do. Americans are fully capable of both working and exercising their rights. Protests are often organized outside work hours or by people taking time off precisely because the issue matters to them. It takes effort and courage to show up and demand justice. Dismissing protestors because they’re visible is a lazy excuse for ignoring what they’re trying to say.

Claiming that protests about authoritarianism “don’t make sense because we don’t live under a monarchy” misses the entire point. The reason people protest is because they don’t want to live under one. They see the signs—consolidation of power, disregard for democratic norms, violent rhetoric—and they’re raising the alarm. That’s not hysteria. That’s historical awareness.

The rant then veers into dangerous territory by smearing all pro-Palestinian protestors as Hamas supporters. That’s a grotesque mischaracterization. The majority of these protestors are calling for an end to civilian suffering, for a ceasefire, and for basic human rights. Criticizing a government’s policies is not the same as endorsing terrorism. That distinction matters. Pretending otherwise is dishonest and inflammatory.

Then comes the xenophobic fearmongering—“You’re an infidel,” “They’d kill you,” and other cartoonish stereotypes that have no basis in reality. These statements don’t reflect truth. They reflect ignorance and fear, often stoked by propaganda and zero real-world experience with Muslim Americans or Arab communities.

Finally, the argument about immigrants doing it the “Ellis Island way” reveals a total misunderstanding of history. Immigrants at Ellis Island didn’t face the bureaucratic nightmare people face today. They didn’t need pre-approved visas or wait decades to be processed. And let’s not forget: many of those early immigrants were also met with hate and fear. Irish, Italian, Jewish immigrants—each group was demonized in their own time. So when you say, “If they could do it, so can you,” you’re ignoring that they did it under a very different system—one that barely resembles the immigration process today.

What’s worse is that the same people who demand that immigrants “do it the right way” are often the loudest voices opposing any effort to make that process more accessible, more humane, or more efficient. You can’t demand that people wait in line if you’re also burning down the entrance.

In the end, protest is American. Immigration is American. Speaking out against injustice—even during times of war—is American. If you’re more offended by people waving signs than by corruption, voter suppression, or cruelty at the border, then you’re not angry about protests—you’re angry about democracy doing its job. The truth is, you don’t want peace. You want silence. And we’re not going away.

      • Removing illegal aliens is authoritarian but forcing people to wear masks and get shots that don’t work is perfectly fine, right?

        • That’s a false equivalence. Calling basic public health guidance “authoritarian” is ridiculous when the same people saying it often cheer on politicians who abuse power, ignore court rulings, threaten dissenters, try to overturn elections and say the Constitution should be “terminated.”

Undocumented immigrants are not harming Americans—they’re being scapegoated for problems they didn’t cause. Study after study shows they commit crimes at lower rates than U.S. citizens, they don’t qualify for most public benefits, and they pay billions in taxes while receiving far less in return. They work critical jobs in agriculture, construction, and care—roles many Americans refuse to do—and they help keep industries and prices stable. Removing people who work like slaves to provide for their families will hurt the economy. Immigrants do the dirty, difficult jobs that most Americans simply won’t.

        • Just remember that no one was complaining or protesting when Obama deported 2.3 MILLION illegals. They were TOTALLY fine with that…this is about hatred for Trump and conservatism; plain and simple.

          • Those deportations happened under Biden as well and without family separation, cruelty, masked agents, kidnapping or racist rhetoric. It’s not about the numbers—it’s about how Trump did it and the inhumanity behind it. Unless you’re Native American, your family came from somewhere else. Whether in 1620, 1920, or 2020—immigration is not only part of America’s story, it is the story.

      • Well, you can have your opinion… I happen to feel that my points do make sense.

You sure do think you know a lot about what I’m saying….

Ellis Island was just as crazy back in THAT time for that day and age as ours is in OUR day and age.

Yes, I do want peace. I just think alot of this goes overboard…

          • “Show me the man, I’ll show you the crime”

Commies are pathetic. We all know that trial and the conviction wasn’t just or right…it was biased and fraudulent. There was no justice there.

      • This is what happens when everything your understanding of the world is based on is what you learned on tv. Everything is a stereotype, there are zero consequences and no personal accountability, and it’s totally cool to talk and act like a cartoon character. Your ability to recognize fact from fiction is crippled by it. Being provocative becomes more important than being kind.

It ain’t the immigrants they hate. It’s their color. Can’t wait till they see the consequences of removing the bulk of the labor we rely on for basic things. Combine that with the removal of every essential government safety net that protects us from physical harm. And they think some protesting is badrealbad!

  6. To the marxists and anarcho-commies in attendance…please be peaceful. Dont break anything, dont attack anyone.

It’s Trump’s last term…find some peace in your hatred.

    • What do you mean? It’s not illegal to protest. It’s our First Amendment right. I think you’re mad because people hate Donald Trump. If Barack Obama had done anything like Trump has done, you guys would have been setting yourselves on fire.

      • And there’s the difference… we would never set ourselves or others on fire! We wouldn’t destroy our cities in the name of protest. I’m all for truly peaceful protests as it is our constitutional right but I am not for (nor do I understand) rioting, looting, setting things on fire, causing damage, attacking police, or any of the other behaviors occurring in these cities. Then to be waving your countries flag to make a statement is stupid. If your country was so great that you keep waving it in America, go back!

        • …..are we forgetting the capitol on January 6th?
          “We won’t destroy our cities”
I guess you’ll just injure 140 police officers, and rack up millions in property damage instead. Rules for thee, not for me.

        • You say you support peaceful protest—until it actually challenges power, then suddenly it’s “rioting” or “un-American.” Let’s get real: the majority of recent protests have been peaceful, but any time there’s a broken window, people like you throw out the whole cause. Funny how the same folks who scream about law and order had no problem with a violent mob storming the Capitol on January 6 and beating police officers with flagpoles. That wasn’t protest—that was an insurrection.

And speaking of “setting things on fire” or causing damage—have you heard of the Boston Tea Party? Our country literally started with a group of angry colonists destroying private property in protest of unjust power. They dumped tons of British tea into Boston Harbor in direct defiance of the law. If you lived back then, would you have told them to stop rioting and “go back to England”?

Let’s not pretend protest is only patriotic when it’s quiet and convenient. Real protest makes people uncomfortable. It disrupts. That’s the point. Waving a foreign flag in a march doesn’t mean someone hates America—it means they’re proud of where they came from and exercising the very rights that define this country.

Telling people to “go back” because they protest injustice or show pride in their heritage is not patriotism—it’s xenophobia, plain and simple. And it’s got nothing to do with the Constitution or freedom.

        • There are always bad actors and instigators who take advantage of major protests, usually after dark. That’s not an excuse not to protest and it certainly doesn’t mean all the protesters are bad actors. It just means that the thing on fire gets more attention by the press, because that gets eyes on their outlet, and their outlet gets paid more for it. It’s sensationalized reporting.

There’s nothing protesters can do to stop those agitators and thieves. But a lot of people have figured out that it mostly occurs after sundown so they leave then. During the day, they can try to interfere with their behavior, but mostly they have to focus on separating themselves from them so that they don’t get mistaken as them. Unfortunately, crowd control at protests often don’t bother trying to tell the difference and just punish everyone in the area instead. I think it’s self explanatory that a peaceful protest gains nothing from being mistaken as criminals and agitators. It distracts from their message and they’d like to be taken seriously. Nobody takes a fire starting looter’s political message seriously. They only see the fire.

  7. Folks help get these newcomers on the voting roles with those drivers license and let’s make this country a one party government rule and use the resource’s of this country for social justice and then destroy the first and second amendments so that the Trump knuckle dragging party is completely destroyed!!! No more rights to bare arms, no more free speech for the conservatives, and no more private property!!! We need all of this to make every one equal and on the same level. LETS MARCH IN CLAYTON!!!!

  8. No King’s Day Dawning is a monster Diabolical chicken assassin from the YANKEE HOME LAND and it has no business or place here in Wayne county North Carolina or Johnson county North Carolina Pacific theater and the Atlantic theater. WE ELECTED PRESIDENT 47 AND IS DOING A GREAT JOB 👍 YOU THERE PROTEST GURU LIVE WITH THE ELECTION AND IN FOUR YEARS VOTE FOR YOUR MAN THEN…. EVERY PRESIDENT IS KING FOR FOUR YEARS EACH AND EVERY ONE….

  9. hahahaha, what a bunch of libtards. And of course, they do it in cCayton the most liberal town in Joco. That place has gone to the libtards for sure. It is sad to see.
But fair warning do not, I repeat do not block the roadway if I am driving by.

    • Considering the leader of this group lives in Smithfield and his second in command in Selma, I too find it wierd

      • Is this the “Chris Johnson”, the man that is over “Joco economic development.” If so, what do you actually do? How many financial benefits do you receive for this position? I find it odd, especially in this county that people in positions such as yours, judges, lawyers, and etc. are all democrats. Why the coincidence? I bet, I know why.

  10. No one has ever professed Trump as a king, this in non sense and the most ironic part is this divisive protest is being organized by a group called “indivisible of Johnston county”. Maybe you could either re evaluate your name or do something that brings the community together instead.

    • No one’s calling Trump a literal king—not yet—but his behavior speaks for itself: trying to overturn an election, demanding total loyalty, and surrounding himself with “yes men” who never challenge him. That explains the ‘No Kings’ message perfectly. This protest is about defending democracy, not crowning anyone. Why has everyone on the right forgotten history and civics class? Fox News has really dumbed you guys down. And as for Indivisible of Johnston County—standing up for checks and balances is how you unite a community, not by enabling authoritarianism.

    • Flipping ridiculous!!! Are you the guy I seen at Chick-fil-A dressed as woman? This man, had a really bad wig, his make up cheap and clumpy, he had a white T-shirt on with a pink bra on unde it? With want-to- be boobs that was clearly stuffed, high heels on and hands big enough to grip a truck tire.

Is this all because of Trump wanting to recognize the Birthday of the US Army?? Y’all call that wasteful spending? The deranged Democrats and licky liberals wasted more money in the last 4 years!!

I knew the deranged had gotten awfully quiet and was plotting all of this, I have been sitting back and waiting for all this to come to life and it has.

I don’t get it… Why is always a protest when D and L don’t get their way?! Y’all just want to stir the stinky pot, and if you do then you should lick the spoon.

Old girl up there in Pennsylvania must have sent out an email and got y’all pumped up!

We haven’t or didn’t ask for anyone to come to JoCo and spray people here with their tacky agenda.

I personally think if they go through the chain of command and learn what they have to learn, and EARN their citizenship then I don’t have a problem.

I just LOVE how the race card is pulled every time, the cry babies don’t get their way. Y’all are sickening and the whole democratic party is sickening.

So, where does those gender affirming hormones come from? Do they come from all those babies that are aborted every day? Because that is what the Democrats are all about…Baby Killers and drug pusher for the people that want to have a sex change because they are weaklings. I burns me up to see a man “trying” to be something he or she is not. I was born a woman and I sure don’t want to be a man!!
Talk about offending, it offends me as a female!! So while you are pushing your democratic agenda down others throat, isn’t there something else that you can do?
You say “Indivisible” but all the Democrats do is DIVIDE!

Oh and btw, WE WILL BE CELEBRATING THE FOURTH OF JULY and it’s going to be even bigger and better, because Donald J Trump IS your President!! The POTUS so right now he is everyone’s president here in America!! Show some respect and stop wallering in your feelings! You may have a Johnston county name, but you don’t have Johnston county values.

      • Oh Bridgette.

You’re not mad because you understand. You’re mad because you don’t—and you don’t want to.

Most people don’t understand what it’s like to grow up feeling different, especially when your own family and friends speak cruelly about anyone who doesn’t fit their mold. Do you know the emotional toll that takes on a child? To sit silently while the people who are supposed to love you talk with disgust about people who remind you of yourself? That damage runs deep.

The bravest thing a “different” person can do is believe in themselves anyway—to push through fear, shame, and rejection and surround themselves with love and support. That takes courage, not weakness.

And yes, it’s hard for families too. But with honest communication, open hearts, and a willingness to learn, families can grow stronger—not in spite of difference, but because of it. Until you go through something you never imagined could happen in your own family, you don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re just throwing stones at shadows.

Kids—especially toddlers—are honest in ways adults forget. They don’t hate until someone teaches them how. It’s a family’s job to protect their children, especially when they show you who they really are. And if it hasn’t happened to you yet, then show some humility—because you don’t know what you’d do until it’s your own child looking to you for acceptance.

My final point is this: stop judging people. Their lives are none of your business. Focus on your own house, your own heart, your own family. And if you’re going to talk about values, make sure they include decency, truth, and compassion—not just flag-waving and finger-pointing.

  11. All y’all leftist need to get a job, pay your share of taxes, and take care of your families. Also when does the bus leave Chapel Hill enroute to Clayton.

  12. This is a Military Appreciation Day and 250th Anniversary. Take some pride in this and dont protest because it is just Anti Trump Hysteria!!

    • Military spouse here! I think they’d rather get that money into their own pockets or have it spent on their other needs, or maybe put it towards helping vets instead of firing needed staff at the VAs. They don’t care about a tacky dictator styled parade rolling through our Capital for a birthday, be it the 250th of the Army or Trump’s. It’s a huge pain in the butt to make it happen, it will damage Capital infrastructure, and it makes us look like North Korea. Very weak. Lots of overcompensation on display. They have better, more important things to do. And the waste of money when we are shutting down necessary parts of government all under the premise of reducing spending. There’s no justification for it.

  13. These protests aren’t just planned overnight. This has been coming for awhile. Where were all these protests when ICE was conducting raids when Biden or Obama were in office? Also interesting how they claim that Trump wasted millions on a parade yet, these organized protests costs millions as well and are a complete waste of time and resources. The hypocrisy is blinding with these people. It really is. All Presidents are considered Kings in a sense regardless of party. And we know from Daniel 2 that it is God who raises up and removes Kings. Some good, some bad. And they are charged with a mandate from God with keeping people safe from evil doers and punishing the evil doers (Romans Chapter 12). And thats what Trump is doing and thats what people voted for. So at a macro level, this isnt a rebellion against Trump. Its a rebellion against God. And thats the crux of the matter. Its truly sad to see how easy it is to brain wash a massive group of people that believe that what they are doing is a righteous act, but then again, satan is a master at creating deception by calling evil good and good evil. Actions have consequences. Physically and eternal. One things for sure, this weekend will show you what “many” truly looks like when Jesus says in Matthew 7, that broad and wide is the path that leads to hell and MANY are on it and enter that way. Tragic. I hope people repent and turn to the Lord before its too late. Tomorrows never promised. I hope the people participating in this think twice. God Bless and keep looking up for our redemption draws near.

  14. I’m confused, by “authoritarian” do they mean like censoring free speech, colluding with the media, forcing to get an experimental drug, forcing banks to disclose people who made purchases in and around Washington, jailing people for months with no charges, colluding with a foreign government to influence an election ?

    • Oh I know…it’s the weaponizing the doj and law fare against a political opponent that they consider “authoritarian “…. But then again they could mean 2 assassination attempts. No matter we all know what hypocrites they are

  15. We Need to Talk About the Orange Elephant in the Room

Under Donald Trump, America has strayed dangerously from its founding principles. Our Constitution—the bedrock of our democracy—has been disregarded, and the norms that have held our republic together for over 250 years are crumbling. We are staring down the barrel of autocracy, oligarchy, and the collapse of constitutional government. Yet too many Americans remain asleep, lulled into complacency, living on post-WWII autopilot, assuming the ship of state will right itself.

    It won’t.

We’ve allowed the ultra-wealthy to consolidate power and control over the press, distorting truth and fueling the rise of propaganda outlets that now serve as de facto state-run media. A significant portion of the population now lives in a closed information loop, spoon-fed lies and rage. And at the center of this deception is Donald Trump—a man who promises salvation but delivers chaos.

Let’s be clear: Donald Trump is not our savior. He hasn’t fixed anything. He has broken trust, decency, and accountability. These are the darkest political days we’ve lived through in generations—not because of foreign invasion or economic collapse, but because of moral rot and delusion within.

If you reject the Constitution, you are not a patriot. You are not a defender of liberty. You are an enemy of our way of life. If you believe America should function without the rule of law, without equal protection, without working institutions, I invite you to get the hell out. We are not rewriting our values for any man or any political party.

Truth no longer matters to many people. And without truth, there is no moral compass. For those who still call themselves Christian, it’s time to examine your heart. Ask yourself: What would Jesus do?

Following Trump has become a form of false worship. And the Bible warns us of this exact danger.

In Exodus 32, when Moses ascends Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments, the Israelites grow impatient. They demand that Aaron make them a god to follow. Aaron gathers gold, melts it down, and forms a golden calf—an idol to worship in Moses’ absence. The people throw themselves into revelry and idolatry, abandoning the God who freed them.

“When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, ‘Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.’” — Exodus 32:1 (NIV)

Trump is the golden calf. He is the idol made from the gold of greed, rage, and fear. And millions have bowed before him, sacrificing truth, decency, and democracy itself. But scripture is clear: idol worship leads to destruction.

    In Matthew 7:15, Jesus warns:

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”

And again, in 2 Timothy 4:3-4:

“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.”

    That time has come.

If you believe in Christ, if you believe in America, now is the time to reject the golden calf. Return to truth. Return to principle. We are not followers of a man—we are stewards of a nation built on freedom, justice, and moral responsibility.

    • What did Donald do to you? How has it affected your life? I’m waiting with bated breath for this non-answer. I bet you can’t even come up with anything intelligible. Give CNN a break every once in a while. You are a sheep.

      • Bated Breath,

What did Donald Trump do to me?
Let’s start here: this isn’t just about me. It’s about the country. But if you want personal impact, fine—here’s a short list:
        • He made it harder for me to trust in the democratic process by spreading lies about elections, even after more than 60 courts—including Trump-appointed judges—rejected his claims.
        • He gutted environmental protections, rolled back LGBTQ+ rights, and emboldened hate groups—policies and rhetoric that directly threaten communities I care about and belong to.
        • He pushed for repealing health care protections under the ACA, which, had he succeeded, would have jeopardized coverage for millions, including veterans, people with disabilities, and working-class Americans.
        • He encouraged an attempted coup on January 6th, putting lives in danger—including police officers who were attacked with flags and fire extinguishers.
        • He called for “termination” of parts of the Constitution. That’s not conservative—that’s authoritarian.
        • And he made America a global punchline while cozying up to dictators.

So no, this isn’t a “non-answer.” This is what happens when a leader acts like he’s above the law, and some people are too deep in the cult to care—as long as he makes them feel powerful.

Also, let’s drop the lazy insult of “CNN sheep.” I read widely. I verify facts. I don’t worship any politician. Can you say the same? Or are you just regurgitating lines you heard on Fox, Newsmax, or Trump’s Truth Social feed?

When you ask “What did Donald do to you?”—what you really mean is: “Why won’t you fall in line like I did?”
And the answer is simple: Because I still believe in facts, truth, and accountability.

        • You are so misinformed. Try some other source for news. The mainstream media sounds just like you.

      • 1. Emoluments Clause violations
        2. Obstruction of Congress
        3. Attempted election subversion (2020)
        4. Used federal force against peaceful protestors
        5. Threatened freedom of the press
        6. Misuse of pardon power
        7. Declared a fake “national emergency” to redirect funds
        8. Retaliated against whistleblowers and inspectors general
        9. Attempted to use DOJ as a political weapon
        10. Encouraged state officials to violate election laws

I can go deeper into any of these you’d like?

        • Dude I want to buy you a beer for the way you spread facts and strive to educate others. Your ability to tackle issues head-on, even through mockery and baiting, is something every well-informed adult should aspire to. It’s a rarity in today’s world. If I weren’t out of town this weekend, I would say shoot me a place and time and enjoy being able to engage in a meaningful conversation with someone who generously shares knowledge. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’ve reaffirmed my belief that there are people nearby who are dedicated to seeking the truth and sharing valuable information, regardless of judgment or criticism.

  16. These No King Protest are being funded by Christy Walton. Mrs. Walton is an heiress of the Wal Mart empire. Her husband died several years ago in a plane crash and she inherited billions of dollars. Time to boycott Wal Mart.

  17. Now’s a good time for ppl to educate/ remind themselves of NC Stand your ground and Castle laws !
If ppl do this …. It may very well turn into a very GOOD lesson for some of those entitled brats….

  18. What a joke. Waaaaaaaaa a bunch of crying Nancy’s. Clayton is all northerners now anyway, they do not represent JoCo views. Wake county neighbors too. You do have to wonder who’s checkbook wrote the check for this garbage

  19. It’s time to impeach our felon in chief and his traitorous cronies. Send Trump to CECOT for disavowing the Constitution.

    • Impeach him for what? Finally enforcing the border laws? Did you cry out when Obama deported 2.3 million people? Nope…you didn’t…why not? Because MSM didn’t tell you too.

      Beep boop….you’re programmed.

      • Impeach him because he’s a convicted felon. Impeach him because he has disavowed the Constitution. Tar and feather him because he divides rather than unites the Country.

  20. The Democrats once again have nothing to offer, only to bash everything Trump.

Celebrating The Miltary’s 250th Anniversary along with Flag Day, represents Our Great Country’s Freedom and Safety.

Those that find themselves on the other side of this Patriotism are simply miss informed and naive.

Letting the narrative of those that want you to submit to their hatred and vitriol is a choice. Your choice because of Our American Constitution & heritage. 🇺🇸

    • Democrats have passed major legislation on infrastructure, veterans’ benefits, clean energy, prescription drug pricing, and job creation—all while Republicans were busy defending an indicted ex-president who tried to overturn an election.

And yes, we can celebrate the military and the flag without ignoring the fact that Trump called fallen soldiers “suckers and losers,” dodged the draft, and incited a violent attack on the Capitol that left police officers injured and dead. That’s not patriotism—it’s betrayal wrapped in a flag.

If you think being “patriotic” means blind allegiance to one man rather than defending the Constitution, the truth, and democratic norms, then you’ve completely misunderstood what this country stands for.

Criticizing a corrupt, twice-impeached authoritarian isn’t hatred—it’s accountability. And it’s not naive to oppose someone who’s actively trying to replace freedom with fear, law with loyalty, and truth with propaganda. What is naive is pretending that waving a flag excuses all of that.

    • American Patriot when you are not able to spell or type (your case), you should hold your ignorance close. 47 is a tyrant who deserves impeachment and infamy.

  21. I’m waiting for someone to state exactly what part of the constitution he has not upheld instead of just repeating that talking point.

    • Jen, don’t you know?! Haven’t you read?! It’s the part where we are Constitutionally obligated to support everyone for everything, and as soon as a ms13 gang member is photographed crying we just need to burn the entire document.

  22. If y’all want to really see treason, I suggest you go back in time to the obama years. It was a nightmare that we barely survived but you didn’t see Conservatives rioting, looting or burning down cities. You know why? Because we were at working trying to make ends meet. President Trump is doing exactly what over half of this country elected him to do. You democrat liberals need to sit down, shut the f*** up and let him do what we voted for him to do.

    • Sure we do. Jan 06 is MAGAs rioting. 47 needs to go to jail because he is a convicted felon.

      • But your side loves to advocate for criminals. You should be cheering for Trump since he’s a “convicted felon” (by a kangaroo court)

      • He was charged fraudulently. You and I and everybody else with an ounce of common sense knows he was only in court because of who he is, not because of anything he supposedly did. Liberals are ignorant, lying a**holes. Liberals said nothing when barack said he wanted to “fundamentally transform” our country. That is more authoritarian than anything President Trump has said or done.

Let President Trump do what we elected him to do. He’s hasn’t even been President for 6 months. Give him a freaking chance to fix what y’all f***ed up. Get a freaking grip.

  23. President Trump is not a savior for America. He is not perfect. I believe he is doing what he thinks is right for America. He is doing a good job. Don’t come for me because I don’t respect anything you have to say to contradict that. The proof is there, groceries are cheaper than three years ago. Still, the economy is not the first thing we should be using to judge any politicians. Our country needed to repent and come back to God’s law. God never instructed us to have open borders. God does tell us that marriage is between a man and a woman. Any right beyond that is against better judgement, which is God’s judgement. We are created to love our God and love one another, true. We are also commanded to hate what is wicked. By not following the Creator, you are following the creature, Satan.

    • Hah! God never said “close the borders” either. And let’s be real—America has never been under God’s law. We’re a constitutional republic, not a theocracy. The Founders separated church and state for a reason. Stop trying to turn your personal beliefs into national law. Also, that’s literally why people fled England in the first place. They wanted freedom from government-imposed religion. The U.S. was founded on the idea that people can worship—or not worship—as they choose, without religion being forced into law. Turning America into a theocracy would be betraying the very principles that built it.

  24. Don’t let the powers that be divide us. Turn off your TVs and get off your antisocial media. Instead get outside and get to know your neighbors.

  25. I just want to throw it out there….anyone saying that ” us conservatives” would have protested under Biden or Obama does not realize we had to go to work every day and pay the taxes for all the unemployed people who have been sitting at home on government assistance, or even better the immigrants who never pay taxes. No real hard-working American would ever be in a protest (peaceful or not) because they would be working, not taking off and walking the streets!

    • Did you know that blue states fund the country? Blue (liberal) states pay more into the government than they receive, and they basically pay for red (conservative) states. They have jobs too! Lots of them. And that’s why they are able to pay for everyone else.

Also, immigrants pay taxes. But don’t worry about unemployed people sitting at home on government assistance cuz there are gonna be plenty of jobs to go around once there are no immigrants to do them. All the best jobs too!

And, somehow, the earners in blue states still manage to participate in protests. They work, and they protest. Protest and work, work and protest. Where do they find the time to eat, sleep, reproduce, or ruin the country? It is a mystery!

  26. Protest is necessary when the president and his cabinet do not take seriously their sworn oath to follow the Constitution.

  27. Peaceful protesters need not hide behind “a mask” … it’s bad enough they hide behind false statements and scripted narratives. Peaceful protesting should not include vandalism & vitriol

Once again, they don’t have their own Solutions or Productive Ideas, just political activism with no reasonable expectation of goodness for all.

Most “reasonable people” see through their ineffective behaviors.

  28. Protest are for the weak, we republicans don’t have time for it, we are the one’s that keep this country going. We don’t cry we are fighters. Democrats are a bunch of soft hands, maybe educated but couldn’t change a flat tire

    • Republicans did, however, manage to find time for January 6. And for truck convoys, storming school board meetings over books they haven’t read, harassing hospitals over masks, and occupying government buildings.

  29. Trump is getting illegals that have raped, killed and brought drugs that are still killing our children. He needs to continue to keep AMERICANS safe!

    • The thing is Colleen hes not going after the criminals at all. He’s going after the laborers out there that pick our crops, the construction men that build our houses and the hard working immigrants that are doing the tough jobs we as Americans feel inferior to doing. Lets not pretend hes rounding up the real criminals. Hes not. Hes sending ICE out to the fields to round them up so that leads to the question, without all these hardworking people where is our economy headed? They dont want to be here illegally. Majority of these people have tried to fix their legal status and the process is taking YEARS. However they continue to pay taxes every gear. And yes they do pay taxes. They apply for an ITIN and file taxes so that some day this government will see their good record in case they get a green card. It wouldnt kill you to have some compassion and understand what is truly the problem.

  30. Y’all have fun with that. I’ll be working like a good ole republican boy does.

  31. It would be better if all these MAGAt comments were AI generated, but they aren’t. It’s disappointing.

It’s okay to have opinions and views, but they really should be informed, and by more than a propaganda outlet. Just a brief moment of intellectual curiosity might have you looking up what some of the words you use mean, and those said by the people you hate. Look up what the stages of an authoritarian takeover or dictatorship are. Also look up the Unitary Executive Theory, so that you get a better understanding of what is un-American or anti American. The Constitution is written in English and not as difficult to understand as you might believe.

Peaceful protest is not only a protected right. It’s a necessary tool for the people to make their voices heard. And right now, a whole lotta people feel they must be heard. There’s a reason for that and it’s not because they hate you, or freedom, or America, or Republicans, or Trump.

The social contract that we all are supposed to follow, the thing that keeps us from eating each other, is supported by an expectation that we all understand our moral obligation to it, to the concept of it, and to each other.

We have other rights as well, that are intended to protect us from government that wants to abuse its power. The Constitution and Bill of Rights are not mix and match where you get to choose which ones you like. That’s why y’all can have guns too.

If you have a problem with illegal immigration, tell me what legal immigration is. Currently, there are people here legally, following all our rules to be here. Now they are being removed anyway, because of abuse of power. That’s not how laws work, and it’s not how our government works. You were told ICE would be deporting serious criminals. But rounding up criminals takes more effort and more time. It doesn’t work when the goal is to reach arbitrary quotas, rather than follow laws. That is unAmerican.

Refusing to wear a mask in order to help keep people from getting sick is somehow perfectly fine, but it’s necessary for the government to wear masks to hide their identities and avoid accountability when they abuse their authority? How about giving us a badge number, or a specific group of law enforcement they are in? No? And the unmarked vehicles? Are those cool? What about people who disguise themselves in order to do bad things to people by hiding behind the authority of these groups? It’s already happening. This is why law enforcement is obligated to give badge numbers when requested. People are getting abducted, raped, and disappeared by people using these tactics. None of this is legal.

Just remember that a government that’s willing to abuse some of us will inevitably abuse all of us. You aren’t any more safe because you support the dictator than people who don’t.

  32. His ascent and control have been characterized by a systematic dismantling of democratic institutions and a centralization of authority within the presidency. This process involved weakening the legislative branch, subjugating independent media, and asserting state control over key economic sectors and civil society organizations

Through constitutional amendments, electoral manipulation, and the suppression of political opposition, he effectively transformed democracy into a “managed democracy” or a form of personalistic authoritarianism, where executive decrees and administrative levers became paramount over legislative debate and judicial review.

His actions aimed to eliminate alternative power centers and ensure his unchallenged dominance, often leveraging legal frameworks to legitimize these shifts. Vladimir Putin was the subject of these paragraphs. If this made you think about someone else, welcome to the No Kings movement.

  33. Two and a half hours of peaceful protest and y’all are filling up your diapers! Better watch out for those nefarious liberals holding signs that hurt your feelings! Be careful about all those fannypacks and colorful shirts! Next thing you know, they could be chanting or even singing while sitting on the grass! It’s very scary stuff.

  34. I feel bad for all of the businesses. I personally will be leaving Clayton Saturday and not spend any of my time or money in the town. Great job leftist Nazis.

  35. You all have fun. The heat index will be 100 degrees. Me? I’ll be in my swimming pool drinking beer listening to The Beach Boys.

  36. These comments are entirely too excessive and childish. If you want to protest, get out in the hot, muggy weather. As for me, I skip these foolish events.

  37. I WISH THEY WOULD DEPORT ALL THESE LIBTARDS OUT OF JOCO…..do you demoncrats not realize every single thing you touch turns to crap? seriously? look at every crappy state and city they are run by demoncrats, and that is facts

  38. GUARANTEED the place will be littered with trash when they’re done with their temper tantrum.

  39. Right on point MAGA! Ya’ll dems watch the wrong news! CNN, MSNBC. Aren’t they the ones that keep all the bs hyped up. How many of them have been fired for airing fake news! I’m on that Trump train with you MAGA!

  40. Let’s call this for what it is. A support group for a bunch of subversive, butt-hurt insurrectionists that have a major case of TDS.

  41. Former Defense Secretary and retired Marine Corps General James Mattis has released a statement:
    IN UNION THERE IS STRENGTH
I have watched this week’s unfolding events, angry and appalled. The words “Equal Justice Under Law” are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demand—one that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values—our values as people and our values as a nation.
When I joined the military, some 50 years ago, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Never did I dream that troops taking that same oath would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens—much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander-in-chief, with military leadership standing alongside.
We must reject any thinking of our cities as a “battlespace” that our uniformed military is called upon to “dominate.” At home, we should use our military only when requested to do so, on very rare occasions, by state governors. Militarizing our response, as we witnessed in Washington, D.C., sets up a conflict—a false conflict—between the military and civilian society. It erodes the moral ground that ensures a trusted bond between men and women in uniform and the society they are sworn to protect, and of which they themselves are a part. Keeping public order rests with civilian state and local leaders who best understand their communities and are answerable to them.
James Madison wrote in Federalist 14 that “America united with a handful of troops, or without a single soldier, exhibits a more forbidding posture to foreign ambition than America disunited, with a hundred thousand veterans ready for combat.” We do not need to militarize our response to protests. We need to unite around a common purpose. And it starts by guaranteeing that all of us are equal before the law.
Instructions given by the military departments to our troops before the Normandy invasion reminded soldiers that “The Nazi slogan for destroying us…was ‘Divide and Conquer.’ Our American answer is ‘In Union there is Strength.’” We must summon that unity to surmount this crisis—confident that we are better than our politics.
Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children.
We can come through this trying time stronger, and with a renewed sense of purpose and respect for one another. The pandemic has shown us that it is not only our troops who are willing to offer the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of the community. Americans in hospitals, grocery stores, post offices, and elsewhere have put their lives on the line in order to serve their fellow citizens and their country. We know that we are better than the abuse of executive authority that we witnessed in Lafayette Square. We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution. At the same time, we must remember Lincoln’s “better angels,” and listen to them, as we work to unite.
Only by adopting a new path—which means, in truth, returning to the original path of our founding ideals—will we again be a country admired and respected at home and abroad.

    • You should practice his teachings and example — otherwise, you’re just a bunch of hypocrites and bigots. The truth is the truth.

      • Grab a whip and expel the law breakers and those who defile the Church? Gladly. Read Romans 13, and wrestle with that.

        • The first commandment is this: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and strength.

The second commandment is this: Love your neighbor as yourself

In loving God, I am reminded that God established clear and firm borders of Israel and Judah, and helped Jacob and his descendants defend it from invasion.

I am also reminded that God told us that Deuteronomy 28:43-45 says

43 The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. 44 They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail.

45 All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you.

And in loving my neighbor as myself, I must advocate for what is in their best interests, for those too are in my own. Therefore, I will not stand idly and silently by watching drug dealers, rapists, and child smugglers overrun our borders, gang members murder Americans and take over entire apartment complexes. I will not delight in the evil that is the lawlessness that is being promoted, even in very comment section.

I will not have the name of the Lord used in a gaslighting exercise meant to shut down any talk of actual justice against those who have broken our country’s immigration laws, and I will vocally oppose those who attempt to justify them entering this country illegally.

I will acknowledge that permitting illegal immigration is a slap in the face to every immigrant who strove to come here legally.

And finally, I will remind myself that the same people complaining about “separating families” was perfectly content with having people who contracted covid dying alone and having their family members barred from holding their hands as they died.

I will hate evil and love righteousness. I will not confuse love with tolerance, for love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth.

If we were to have another King, we need King Asa back. He removed the vast majority of the idolatry and sinful practices from Israel.

Such a king would stop abortion, and put an end to all this LGBTQ degeneracy that is permeating our society and even into the minds of our small children (as they like to say “the most vulnerable among us”).

But we don’t need a human king to do this, God will do this, and everyone will know He is LORD.

  42. God Bless America 🇺🇸 President Trump

C J is what is wrong with our country.

  43. Chris Johnson and Cornbred should seek gainful employment, as it is obvious by the number of posts that neither of you work. Both of you traitors should leave this country and take up residence in Iran, where your misguided political opinions are celebrated, because no sane, decent person gives a da*n about your sick ideologies.

  44. Donald Trump needs a harsh reminder: the American people are not his subordinates, and the presidency is not a CEO gig from one of his many failed ventures. In a democracy, citizens don’t take orders — they give them. We protest because we refuse to be treated like employees in a bankrupt brand. MAGA loyalists may treat his every word like a directive, but the rest of America still believes in truth over spin, accountability over arrogance, and independence over cult loyalty. Power is earned — not inherited like a boardroom seat or hijacked through fear.

  45. CJ … President Trump never said he wanted to be king, and he never referred to himself as, “a king”.

You’re simply wrong. And you sir, are the one spewing false information.

You can’t handle The Truth ⚖️

CJ & Cornbread … will you be attending the Clayton event?

    • Actually he did. Look it up. He even posted a picture of himself on a thrown wearing a crown. No president has ever done that. It’s not even a funny joke.

      • So C J, you avoided my question “will you be attending the Clayton event” ???

        … waiting

        • Why is it important for you to know? What difference does it make either way? It means absolutely nothing. Unless we’re friends, what I do is really none of your business.

Do you want to be friends?

  46. This military parade is not about the POTUS, it is about celebrating the 250 years in excellent service of the U.S. Army. Rain or shine, the U.S. Army will be feeling fine.

  47. Chris Johnson, I don’t know you, but wish I did.
You speak truth so eloquently and factual.
It’s extraordinary rare to read/hear such logic and human decency
on this link, or any other in the area.
As someone who recently returned home to NC, you give me hope.
I wish I knew you in real life.

  48. James Madison said,

Crisis is the rallying cry of the tyrant.

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.

A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty.

The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at home.

If our nation is ever taken over, it will be taken over from within.

A President is impeachable if he attempts to subvert the Constitution.

  49. I love when hypocrites protest. All they do is show their utter disdain for America and shows who they truly are.

  50. This morning in Minnesota, a Democratic lawmaker and her husband were executed. Another lawmaker and his wife were shot. The suspect — a former appointee under Gov. Walz — left behind a hit list, a fake police uniform, “No Kings” flyers, and an anti-democracy manifesto. This was not random. This was political violence.

To those hiding behind fake names and anonymous profiles: OWN YOUR WORDS. You’ve created safe spaces for wannabe anti-democratic criminals. These criminals are hiding in plain sight, emboldened by silence, enabled by propaganda, and fueled by a movement that rewards cruelty. They’re out there because Donald J. Trump released them — giving them a green light to keep attacking democracy, destabilizing institutions, and targeting elected officials.

Yes, Trump won the election and holds the title of president — but he is not working for the American people. He has bastardized the office, stripped it of dignity and service, and hijacked our institutions to serve his personal thirst for power. He is the puppet and the brand. And publicly, he likes to keep his hands clean — but we see through it. His legacy is violence, lies, and destruction.

This is not who we are. You have been radicalized.

I urge Carolina Journal to make it MANDATORY for users posting on their website to use real names — or else your comment should not be published. It would certainly tone down the rhetoric.

And to be clear: there is nothing illegal or unconstitutional about a real-name policy. Carolina Journal is a private platform and has every legal right to set and enforce community standards. Requiring real names does not violate free speech — it promotes accountability. The First Amendment protects you from government censorship, not from the consequences of anonymous incitement on privately owned platforms.

    • That must be why his approval rating is so high because everyone hates what he is doing, lol

      • Your comment is despicable. It sounds to me like you support Trump stirring up his base to commit horrible acts of violence and it seems you support that. How very sad for you.

  51. UPDATE: maybe, 75 people attended today’s event in Clayton. Many participants were 🇺🇸 flag waving President Trump Supporters.

Otherwise, pretty much A Nothing Burger (King)

  52. I forgot, when were all the protests when Obama was president? After all, he deported far more people than Trump has. Or is it an inconvenient truth to admit that? Hillary went so far as to say that any immigrant coming to the United States should “have “ to learn English. I guess things only outrage democrats when a Republican does them. That’s why I can’t take democrats seriously, they’re just hypocrites. From now on they should be referred as Hypocrats.

    • OMG. Just stop. Did you read any of the posts in this thread? You forgot a lot, actually. There were protests under Obama. The difference is, Democrats didn’t treat him like a cult leader—we pushed back when we disagreed.

Trump’s policies weren’t just about immigration. They were about cruelty—family separations, Muslim bans, and fueling hate for political gain. That’s what we protest.

If you think “Hypocrats” is some kind of mic drop, it just proves you’re not here for real conversation—just name-calling. Try harder.

  53. Almost 200 comments!!!! Usually I “come here for the comments” but this is ridiculous!!!!! It’s not even officially summer yet and you all are in an uproar!!! Wow!!!!!!

  54. Some people hate the truth @chris e are one of a kind. Just got a call from someone saying I was cutting up on Joco’s report. I look sound just like me but I wouldn’t waste my time on this. I just show them. Educational facts my brother, you definitely got my vote when you run for office.

  55. I used to think very highly of you Chris Johnson. I guess I was wrong. But the world is a very different place than it was many years ago when you could agree to disagree. Now it’s name calling and riots ( or peaceful protests depending on the source ).
