Arrest Made In Farm Tractor Theft

PRINCETON – A 43 year-old man is facing criminal charges. Brandon Michael Boyd of Long Leaf Road, Princeton was arrested June 27 by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

Boyd is charged with felony larceny, felony larceny of a motor vehicle, and probation violation.

He is accused of stealing a 1954 Farmall tractor and John Deere riding lawnmower from a home on Massey Holt Road near Princeton. The tractor was valued at $4,000 and the lawnmower $1,000. The theft was reported June 14.

The farm tractor was recovered. At last report, the lawnmower had not been located.

Boyd was given a $75,000 secured bond.

In an unrelated incident, a Case farm tractor was reported stolen from Aycock Road near Selma around 5:20am on Sunday, June 30. The tractor was later recovered a few miles away.
