JOHNSTON COUNTY – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office recovered property stolen from two cars before the owners realized they had been broken into.
Christopher Gage Jackson, age 24, of N. Shiloh Road, Garner is charged with two counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle.

Early Saturday, April 5, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person in the South Hills subdivision off Cornwallis Road. Officers located Jackson who had several items in his possession including a ring and iPhone.
Authorities searched the area and located a vehicle parked on Drew Drive and a car parked on Zachary Way had been entered and the items stolen.
Deputies alerted the two victims who reportedly confirmed the items had been taken from their vehicles. The property was returned to the victims.
Drew was held under a $50,000 secured bond.
