The Benson Middle School female mentor and mentee club, PEARLS, recently volunteered at Benson Baptist Church in Benson.

The club, along with people from the community and church, teamed up in order to fill 15,000 bags of food for the Stop Hunger Now Campaign. The volunteers formed assembly lines with various jobs in order to complete the task.

According to Amy Toler, a sixth grade teacher at  Benson Middle, it took the club about three hours to fill the bags, and the experience was something that benefited everyone involved.

“It was rewarding for all involved and was a great experience for our girls,” said Toler.
