Princeton Man Arrested For Meth Possession

GOLDSBORO – A 52 year-old Princeton man is facing charges following an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and NC Wildlife.

On April 21 around 1:55pm, NC Wildlife officers observed suspicious activity at the Bill Lane Boulevard boat ramp and requested assistance from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

During the investigation, suspected crystal methamphetamine was reportedly found in the possession of Robert Steve Boyette of Dennis Drive, Princeton.

Boyette was arrested on scene and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and given a $1,000 secured bond. Boyette was issued a citation by NC Wildlife for unauthorized use of a boat ramp.
