Work will take place over the next several months at five Johnston County school buildings after contracts were awarded earlier this month for repair projects.
A $4,427,000 bid was awarded to LaFave’s Construction Company of Landis, NC to replace the roof at Smithfield Selma High School. The company was the low bidder on the project.
A $3,232,710 bid was awarded for HVAC and mechanical upgrades at Smithfield-Selma High, North Johnston High, Meadow Schools, Pine Level Elementary and Princeton Middle High School to Schneider electric Buildings Americans Inc. of Morrisville. The work will include controller replacements and hydronic pipe replacements.
