Break-In Reported At Southern Johnston County Church

NEWTON GROVE — The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a break-in discovered last Saturday at a church in southern Johnston County.

Deputies responded to a security alarm at 4:17 p.m. Jan. 10 at Randall Chapel Church, located on Randall Chapel Road near Newton Grove, just inside the Johnston County line.

Investigators said someone had pried open the door to a storage building on the church property. No items were reported missing.

Damage to the building was estimated at $200.

The incident remains under investigation. No suspects have been identified.
