A Smithfield business was broken into and cash was stolen.
Police said they responded to a burglar alarm at Coor Farm Supply on N. Malta Street off US 70 East at 2:38am on Friday.
Officers arrived and determined a window air conditioner had been removed from the business to gain entry. Once inside, the intruder stole an undisclosed amount of money.
No arrests have been made.
