Clayton Resident Pat LeGrand Announces Virtual Town Hall Series

JOHNSTON COUNTY – Clayton resident Pat LeGrand, the Democratic candidate for North Carolina Senate District 10, has announced a series of virtual town halls for Johnston County residents ahead of the November election.

Four online events are scheduled, beginning Tuesday, Aug. 18.

The town halls will be held at 7 p.m. on Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 6 and Oct. 27.

The events will be available through the Pat LeGrand for NC Senate YouTube channel.

LeGrand, a Clayton resident, moved to North Carolina in 1997 from California to work for Bayer Corporation in Raleigh. She later transferred to Bayer’s Clayton facility, which subsequently became Grifols, and remained in Johnston County. She retired from Grifols following a career in information technology.

Her professional background includes computer operations, technical project work, analytical support and database design, as well as international training operations and projects in several oil- and gas-producing countries.

LeGrand has also been involved in state and local political activities, including voter engagement and volunteer outreach.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and sciences from San Diego State University, with an emphasis in education and bilingual bicultural Spanish, and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from National University.

LeGrand is a mother and grandmother and has also volunteered in dog rescue and community service.
