FOUR OAKS – Cleveland High School won their third straight Johnston County Easter Invitational (JCEI) tournament and extended their streak to 11 wins in a row in the tournament, dating back to a first round 7-6 loss to Bunn in 2019. The 2024 tournament was held at South Johnston High School.
Cleveland Varsity Rams defeated South Johnston High 5-3 in the first round game. Will Hicks hit two home runs and drove in three for the Rams.
In the semi final game, Cleveland topped North Johnston 12-1. The Rams tallied 15 hits and seven walks.
In the Championship game, Cleveland held off Midway with a hard fought 7-to-4 victory. Cleveland had 10 hits, stole four bases, and turned one double play in the championship game.
