Cops Dig Up Septic Tank To Locate Drugs

A man under investigation for six months is accused of flushing a quantity of crack cocaine down the toilet as drug agents were serving a search warrant at his home Saturday night.

Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Captain A.C. Fish described the suspect, Gary Lee “Fatback” Williams, 51, of the 3000 block of Little Creek Church Road, Clayton as a mid-level drug dealer who had been selling cocaine out of his home.

However, officers were determined to locate the drugs.  Officers dug up the septic tank in the yard and located the narcotics, approximately 10 grams of crack cocaine with a potential street value of $1,000.

Williams was arrested on 26 drug-related offenses including selling cocaine, delivery of cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.
