Crews Respond To Fire In Smithfield

SMITHFIELD – Multiple fire units responded to a fire around 7:45pm this evening (Thursday). The blaze was reported on Franklin Drive, off S. Brightleaf Boulevard.

Reports indicate a small building and vehicle caught on fire. The blaze then spread to the back of a singlewide mobile home. Firefighters quickly contained the fire.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries.
