A man armed with a black semi-automatic handgun robbed an area Dollar General store Monday night.
Around 9:30pm, the suspect entered the Dollar General on Benson Road near Garner and at gunpoint demanded the clerk open the cash register. The clerk complied and the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before leaving.
Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison described the robber at a heavy-built Hispanic male, 5 foot 10, wearing a dark colored jacket, dark pants, black gloves, with a gray bandana covering his face.
