SELMA – A Zebulon woman was arrested after she reportedly sped through a four way stop intersection in front of a Johnston County deputy sheriff.
Michelle Evans Cribb, age 39, of Perry Road, was charged with driving while impaired, reckless driving to endanger, and failure to stop at a stop sign.
According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, around 1:10am Saturday, Nov. 16, a deputy sheriff was conducting a routine building check at the intersection of NC 39 and Old Beulah Road.
The officer observed a Honda Accord on NC 39, traveling at a high rate of speed, fail to stop for a stop sign at the intersection. Another vehicle had to brake suddenly to avoid a collision with the Honda.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop and arrested Cribb. Authorities said she refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test. She was given a $10,000 secured bond.
The Honda was seized.
Thank God the Deputy was where he was and observed her. Great job Deputy. She could have killed someone and also thank God the other vehicle at the four-way stop seen this coming and hit the brakes and no one was injured.
Trump’s back, and so is crime.
